Goodbye friend

We gave away our kitty today :( We are moving and since he is not real good with kids anyway, we decided it would be for the best to give him to a good family. The people we gave him to really loves cats and they seemed like really nice people and we think Biggie will be happy there with them. So good bye old friend...you'll be missed.

On another note, a lady in the photography thread I frequent did an edit of a newborn today that made it look like it came from the studio even though it didnt. Made me think since Sass never got her pics professionally done when she was a baby, that I'd mess around a bit with some of her old pics to see what I could come up with. So what do you think about this? Not that I expect them to be studio quality, as they arent but...wanted something more frameable. Click on the pic to see it larger. This was Sass when she was 6 months old, feels like yesterday.

19 months old...wow

Where in the world does the time go? 19 months old already....my little girl is growing up. She amazes me everyday and what she learns to do. She is learning her ABCs and now every time she sees a word she must go point to it and say, "A.B.Cease" She also has a kind of lisp hahaha, not something I think she will always have, but...toddler speak for sure.

When she had her 18 month appointment she was saying and signing around 50 words and she is now way over 100. She can say pretty much anything you tell her to say and she retains it too and then calls whichever object she learned by name. She makes my mouth drop open on a daily basis with all that she learns. With signs too, all I have to do is show her once and she's got it.

Just the other day she asked me what I was eating and I said ice cream, for the first time she goes, "ice cream?" then signed it...I couldn't help but scream for joy, again....she makes me do that quite often.

She loves Yo Gabba Gabba. Her favorite is Brobee, whom she calls Bubby. She always calls for him and has to take him to bed. She can do the dances and sings the songs when they are played. She is really good at following instructions and has learned a lot from the show.

She knows the difference between hot and cold, off and on, in and out, up and down. She is a climbing machine! Especially up to daddy's computer when he walks away.
And she LOVES the water. Everyday I hear, "pool? wa-wa? pool? pool?" She played with the hose the other day and loved it.She also LOVES to brush her teeth. "brush? brush teef?" is the first thing I hear aside from, "hungry? eat!" when she wakes up. Complete with signs.
This girl loves her some slides! So we try to go to the park everyday. One time I stuck my face in between the bars that line the steps and asked for a kiss, she gave me one. Then after she goes down the slide and was climbing back up the stairs she stuck her little face in the bars and asked, "kiss?" Now she does this EVERY time we go to the part. Makes my heart smile. My daughter is so precious and I am so thankful to have her.
I noticed today that Sass looks much older than she usually does, I am not sure if it was the jeans or her ridiculous height for her age or what, but she is just not a baby anymore by any means. She sure is hitting the terrible twos stage early too...Can't wait till she cools her pipes, even just a little. Miss tantrum has been finding herself in time out a lot lately and it is seeming to work. She sits there for a couple minutes, we explain to her why she cant hit, scream, slap, or all of the above and she tells us sorry and gives us a hug and she doesn't go right back to being a crazy girl. I have noticed all I have to do is give a certain look now and she'll calm down, pretty awesome actually.

So the countdown continues on Operation leave Hawaii. I cant wait to be out of here for good, to start over and to just be done with this move. Hawaii is beautiful, but its a bitter place for me and I just know that the future will be brighter.

Well, I want to go to bed early tonight, its 12:30am and thats actually early for me. I started working on my 3rd kit, a boy kit and I can say now, I am not liking it hahaha. I just dont have a designing bug for boy stuff. Or maybe I am being too hard on myself I dont know. I suppose when I have it up, you can be the judge for yourself. So..with that, I am out, going to get some sleep and dream about making layouts...like I seem to dream about lately...and its driving me batty!

A good day.....mostly

Sass slept in till 11 today! She was super active the night before, falling off couches on purpose and all that so I guess she wore herself out good.

She then had another, yes another, poopey situation today that ended with her screaming bloody murder holding her foot up with her stuff on the bottom and squished between her toes. As gross as it was, all I did was laugh...it was too funny!

Sass's new song is the ABC's. She loves singing it, the best she knows how anyway. But it is so cute listening to her...then in the car she started singing the song that says, "blame it on the a a a alcohol...." She was going, AAA AA AA, she also sings Lady Gaga Poker face as, Po Po Po face!, so great, my child is being taught to stutter. Oh, and since she started singing these songs first time heard (her 1st radio song of hers was Boom Boom Pow), I have noticed a LOT of songs out there in that genre which I only listen to on radio once in a while has a lot of stuttering in it now. Must be a new "cool" thing to do I suppose..hmm

I was also listed on Digifree scrapbook search engine today, so I know thats a little thing and all but I was super excited about that! Hopefully that means more traffic my way.

So ok...enough ramble, on to the pics for today!

Zoo day

My next door neighbor El and I decided to take Sass to the zoo. We figured it was time she met her family we adopted her from...................the monkeys. :) Let me start off by saying it was hotter than .....well...it wasn't so much for the heat as it was the humidity! Our fault I suppose for venturing out after Felicia just passed. It was still before noon and within the first 2 exhibits we were ready to call it quits. I could feel the water running down my back, and I actually don't sweat that easily, so if that tells you how it was.

But we did have fun, saw some flamingos, lemurs, giraffes, a pumba (wart hog), rhino and let Sass go wild in the little kid part. She got to see fish bigger than her,
stick her fingers in every goats' eye she could find and watch a turtle 3 way.
too much??? I didn't want you all to think I was just being funny. :)

El and I have a strong like for picture booths, and we lucked out and found one today. I wish it let us keep all 3 pics because they were funny. The first was Sass screaming because she couldnt hit buttons, the second was a just there stare with El and I being goofs and the third was a big gap smile. After we were done Sass insisted on banging on every last button 50 million times since she wasnt able to earlier.
If you see the pic close up, you'd see a very flushed and sweaty baby.

and just a few more pics of my darling.

We bought a SUPER soft body pillow at Costco and Sass has gone nuts with it ever since the store. Something about it makes her shake her head back and forth on it and attack it while having a massive giggling fit. Tonight, she thought it would be fun to head dive into it from the couch.....

.....over and over and over again.

as always, click on the pic to see it bigger.

Until next time!

Butt crack baby

Some of you may know, that my daughter LOVES to take off her pants, shorts, skirts and worst of all, her diaper! I cant tell you the number of times I have gone into her room and she is standing there, bare butt naked saying, "Ut ooooooooooh!" pointing to her disposed of diaper on the floor, and sometimes even a surprise hiding under the blanket! Yes, my child is cat-like and buries her poo.....well...throws a blanket on top anyway.

She also likes to diaper dig....which I find to be the grossest of all! I cant wait till she stops that!

Well recently we have been putting packing tape around her tabs of her diaper so she cant take it off. Unfort, we are out of packing tape and as I was walking to the kitchen to find something that would work...I hear the stapler...yes...my husband stapled her diaper on! (not into her skin...I know I probably don't need to clarify that, but just in case).

But anyway...the pictures I am putting up are of my butt cracked baby...she just isn't having a good day unless she shows her butt! Literally!

Back from Maui

Hello blog world.

I have a TON to catch up on. Your blogs, MY blog....ugh....seems like there isnt enough time to do it all.

Well we had a wonderful visit with my SIL and BIL the other week and then we finished off with a couple days in Maui......GORGEOUS there let me tell you.

While there I met up with a lady I have known on BG for over a year and it was an awesome play date.

There is a lot going on here at the C household. As some of you may know we are getting ready to move to Virginia and so we have been preparing for that. Only 4 more weeks left in Hawaii. It will be bittersweet.

I feel lately I have too many irons in my fire. So much I want to do, yet not enough time to accomplish it all. I want to start projects then I go way overboard and try to be too elaborate and I end up not finishing things....like I have this 365 thing going on (this blog of course) and I am having a hard time keeping up in blog world. I have been doing excellent and on point taking the daily pics of my daughter, but the other one I was supposed to start on the 1st...well....not going so well I must admit.

I am far behind on making the layouts for my daughters 365..:(

I am behind on scrapbook pages in general...:(

I want to start a photography blogspot but hell I am having enough trouble keeping up with this, but I know I need a separate one...why cant there be more hours in the day?

I have a very high energy, testy, always on the move, attention needing toddler so basically anything I want to do online while she is awake is out of the question.....I guess I dont NEED sleep right??

I'd like to get in a few more clients before I leave Hawaii, but as of tomorrow we will be down to one car and I just cant make appointments with people if I am unable to get there! Gah, I just need more practice!

Well....since I am not doing so well on the object 365, hell...I am 6 days behind lol...(meaning, i never started that one :( ) I guess I will show some random pics...Hope all is well in blog land, and followers,...I will catch up on your blogs I promise! I will check out my blog roll as soon as I am done here.
